sorry to be a cynic but would this just be to please the fans like Earnie was. Can we just move on and look ahead because it players returning to previous clubs hardly ever works!!!

He may be talking about Bellamy but if Ledley/Matthews returned I'd be delighted, Matthews is exactly what we need right now

Matthews is class but I doubt he'd leave scotland when the double is pretty much guaranteed this season.

Overall i'd say down however if Celtic advance through to the next round I expect their wages may go up. Champions league is a big draw he won't come back.
I'd take Burke back any day and if we are talking about returning personnel as a whole i'd most certainly take back SIR DAVE OF CARDIFF.
