Velinkonja scored about 20 last year, why won't u give him a chance? He's still settling. We've got one of the highest scoring midfielders in the league too. Plus didn't helguson score something like 11 goals last year in a higher division without playing a lot of games cos of the mark Hughes regime. 2 strikers also scored this weekend. Calm down everyone for godsake, we'll be fine

Don't need anymore strikers. As other posters on here have pointed out.

Velikonja got something like 20 goals last year playing for Maribor, Helguson got 9 in 17 games in a higher division, Mason got 12 or 13 for us last season and has made an impact everytime he has come off the bench so far. Mason will be our main striker this season and watch him fly and get 20+ goals. We do not need a "20 goal a season striker" because we already have two in our squad capable of getting that many goals - Mason and Velikonja.

Also we have a midfield that can score goals with the likes of Bellamy, Whittingham, Bo Kyung and Tommy Smith.

We lost one game, the team is still gelling. When we get it right watch us tear teams apart this season!
