Sinclair to Citeh for £6.2 million

Mon Aug 27, 2012 11:26 am

Another great bit of business by Sir Huw following on from Allen fantastic money for both players, but imo both overpriced and both more than you got for Ramsay, you could of got a lot more for him and should of another example how the gap between our clubs is getting bigger by the day.

I don't think we would have got much more for Ramsey back then, just like you wouldn't have gotten anywhere near what you did had those players moved on in that sort of market.

99% of players moving these days are overpriced and just shows how stupid and desperate the game has become. Fair play to your club for pulling in such fees though.

f**k me, I cant believe you are welcoming your owners selling your best players, but there again you are 2nd class fans for a 2nd class club

I think that's very good business for your club.

Do you think you'll sustain the current form? For me Laudrup is likely to be a very good Manager and for your season to be succesful, all he needs to do is avoid relegation, but I think you'll do a lot better than that.

How high do you think you can make this season?

BEST PLAYERS?!
Done quite well since Allen left, and Sinclair can't get into the fist team.

First class plank

After talking to Laudrup last week, i think you will find he is rested after the summer of playing.

Tbh I would take 17th now but hopefully we can finish around the same as last season, can't fault laudrup atm his signings are performing and he has handled the Allen and Sinclair situations very well, and if we are in the top 12 at xmas we will stay up.

IMO opinion if a player don't want to be at my club it's bye bye Allen wanted to go as does Sinclair, thanx for the memories and good luck and cheers for the £21.2 million

Laudrup was always one of my favourite players of the early 90's and it looks to me like he's going to be a very good Manager as well.

I think you'll end up a lot higher than 17th - possibly top 10 finish.

I just wish you'd stop singing those egg songs

Maybe your shitty club can start paying rent on its council house and you can pay back your cva creditors as we all know that without screwing creditors your club would still be in lower leagues.

The original poster says Swansea getting lots of money for two wantaway players widens the gap further. In what way do you mean? You've lost your manager, coaching staff, and four of your best players of last season. Have you spent more money than us this summer? If i used the same spurious logic as you then we've spent 10m, and saved millions on Craig Bellamy whilst keeping hold of players like Ben Turner and Peter Whittingham. We're 2/3 games into the season and already Laudrup is being classed a great manager whilst Malky is getting criticised by the hoards of knee-jerk overreacting computer managers we have. I'm glad I'm of the pre-Talk Sport school of thought that knows it's at least ten games in before you get a picture of things. Financially we have owners and board members who are extremely rich people whilst you lot had to start from scratch after the last CVA. Since news of our debts broke all that time ago, you lot have prided yourself on trying to take the moral highground which has been truly hypocritical given your history on paying debts, and now you've come into a bit of money and you're trying to lord that over us. Again, hypocrisy of the highest order from the proud frugal Jacks

Dont make any diffrence all the cunts, fucks and name calling in this thread the bottom line is the players wanted to leave so they got bombed off same as any player at any club + you jacks got good deals for both much more than anyone was expecting for allan atleast as for sinclair as he would have run down the last year of his contract.

Re: Sinclair to Citeh for £6.2 million

Mon Aug 27, 2012 12:43 pm

The amount of money spent on players goes up each year. If we had Ramsey at his age when we sold him now we'd probably get £7-£8 million in my opinion. Don't forget Liverpool have raised the bar for silly transfer prices, so everyone is over priced. Good business for Swansea though

You dont get football do you?

1) If a player wants to go he will go. If Liverpool or City come calling then guess what happens?
2) When players go the secret is to get top price.
3) The next trick is to get better players in for less money

We have done all 3.
And if you think sinclair is one of our best players then you have no idea. I would rather lose him than, Dyer, Vorm, Leon, Williams, Taylor, Rangel no problem.
When you think we got Michu, JDG, Chicco, Ki and maybe Hernandez for the price of Joe Allen then its a no brainer. It has also enabled us to build training facilities and stadium expansion without eating into the player budget.

lol, two people refering to Scott Sinclair as one of our best players

Scott Sinclair would not be a first team regular, if he stayed he would be warming our bench this season whilst it looks like we're replacing with Pablo Hernandez :)

With your current squad you should be pushing for CL and who knows maybe winning the league, capitol one cup and fa cup aswell, but even if you did you would only be warming them up for us next season and the season after

No see if you can get this straight.
2 games gone, Scotty started neither. Routledge was magnificent, we are trying to sign another winger who sounds in principle a better player than Scotty. Simple really even for a blueturd. Scotty has been superb for us and was the key in gettin promotion no doubt. Last year he was a way off that sort of form but still played well. Why city want him and let Johnson go I know not but sinclair is no where near our top 6 most important players

If you get rid of a player, he's not wanted but if you get one in, it's an amazing capture. Typical blinkered Jack rhetoric. Having a reasoned debate with you bunch of simpletons is futile in the extreme.

What are you planning on increasing the capacity to? When are you expanding if you are? It's the first time I've heard it although I never really hear about anything Swans related unless it's on this messageboard. It's funny because before you got promoted you barely got 15,000 for most of your home games but now suddenly all the plastics are turning up now that you're in the Prem. How are you sure that the plastics are going to stay if say you get relegated in the next 3 years? It would look ridiculous having a half empty stadium.

Re: Sinclair to Citeh for £6.2 million

Fair bit of business to me.

The lad had one excellent season in the championship, but never made too many ripples in the premier league.

He doesn't want to stay at Swansea, £6 million for him is £5 million profit, although all of that will probably go to Blackpool if they want Tom Ince or Matt Philips.

As for their start, good exploitation of the situations. QPR could be a disaster waiting to happen with all the transfers and West ham are a disaster. The Jack's are safe this season with Villa, West Ham, Norwich, Southampton & Reading in the division.
