Apollo 17 is the official last launch. According to unofficial records Apollo 18 launched and landed on the moon. The astronauts found a Russian spacecraft had landed before them. These American astronauts then were attacked by spiders while they were trying to find out what was going on.
When did the Americans land on the moon, 1969. You would have thought with technology these days we would have landed again or even better have a colony up there. Ever wondered why we have not?

Because after beating the russians to the first moon landing money/resorces then turned to developing a space station and hundreds of satellites/rovers at huge expense.
