BCFC My day report

Sun Aug 26, 2012 7:08 pm

Well what a day it was Regan and myself was up at 06.30 to catch our train at 07.35 to get to Cardiff Central. Then it was a half hour walk to get to the Duke of Clarence in Canton.I was told on arrival my best est buddy Marc also known as Marv or Eddie Stobbart was crying off because he was giving a farmer one up the back entrance. We had 2 mini buses but only one driver so we left over 40 minutes late. Then a piss stop on the M48 delayed us further. But we arrived at the Wetherspoons and a large breakfast was called for.
Then at twelve we left for Ashton Gate and instead of taking the back road after the Severn bridge to Avonmouth the driver took the notorious M5 past Cribbs Causeway on a bank holiday. So it was no surprises when we entered the local Car Park which didn't do much for the mood that's for sure.
We get to the ground or it was somewhere near but we end up Parking at the local Cricket ground. So we then head for the ground taking several wrong turns before we end up going through this underpass that looked like the one out of The Football Factory. So is must of been mad seeing us doing our impersonation of this event ! arms outstretched giving it the come on.
We get to the ground and the game had already started when i get a text of a mate that a very old Friend that i haven't seen for fifteen years was there. To say there was a teary reunion was an understatement as we had both in vain had tried to track each other down. But we were soon two down and no one can believe that Malky's tactics and team selection was so way off again, with that Saddam made his intentions known and he was off back to where the minibuses was parked and off to the Cricket club as they had seen enough. Soon enough Bomber was off as well.
But i could not blame them as what we was seeing was poor of the very highest standard. Myself and Regan left at 4-2 down and with a few minutes to go we left and head for the cricket Club. Now we get there there to find most of our lot drinking with the local toffs whilst watching the Cricket old chap. But when we left they said we was welcome any time and made sure we had enough Beer and fags for the return journey. But the sight of Bomber giving one of the fielders from the cricket a glare was funny as fook as he soon moved in field. But this you are welcome lark is so not Cardiff city
The return journey we had to make a detour to pick up some lads who jumped on another bus who said they would take them to the Cricket club but ended up dropping them off in the rain miles away under the suspension bridge. We get to the Severn bridge and we get over free because Mike had a Blue badge which was funny as fook.
But then we hit Newport and we are stuck in traffic so we get off at the Coldra and go round the link road which was even worse as we was moving at a snails pace. Tensions was rising as Bomber wanted to kill someone as mentioning Swansea was top of the prem and Blackpool won 6-0 was not what he wanted to hear. Mikey C was being well agitated and in a right mood as well as tempers were beginning to show. But then i had a text of a mate who had to walk 3 miles to Temple Meads and was pulling into central Station when we was still at a standstill in shitty Newport. Thanks for that Cardiff City Culture.
So Regan and myself get to Central,as to get home we then jump on the train to Caerphilly we can get to the Chippy, just enough time before the train arrived to take us to Pengam, but silly cow in front had an order for about thirty people so by the time our order was ready we missed our train and had to wait an hour for the next one. So instead of waiting we walked to Aber station. and Reagan's final words to me was "Dad next time we take the Car"
