Don't need pace to score goals, ask John Toshack, Micky Quinn, Kevin Davies, Kevin Nolan & Ricky Lambert! :old: :)

Bit tell me a target man who scores 20 goals a year at 35

20 goals ???

I'm still pissed off with yesterdays result - Malky has had money & he has spent in on players who are lacking in pace

Surely we could have got better than Helgusson ?

Tbh I think Helguson is pretty decent. We don't need a 20 goal striker as long as others come in with a decent amount of goals.

Maybe he plans on bellers upfront with Kim and smith wide. Then Helguson, Etien as back up. I dunno.

Helgusson won't have an engine at 35 to play 46 games a season

Prime Alan Shearer, Andy Cole, Les Ferdinand, Micheal Owen would fail to score 20 goals in the current system we are playing.

Yesterday's result was all about poor defending and not about the amount of goals we scored or will score IMO!

We scored 2 goals and had we won 2-0 or 2-1, not many on here would have been complaining!

Put it simply, we defended really poorly and had we defended like we did at Brighton on Tuesday night, we'd have probably won!

We also lost 3 players from Tuesday's game in Bellamy, Turner and Conway and had to put 2 new players straight into the mix!

Bellamy can be a match winner, Turner was immense at Brighton and it was at the centre of the defence where we lost yesterday's game IMO, started by a poor throw out by Marshall, a poor pass by Gunnarsson, some poor decision making after conceding the first goal and some further bad passing later in the game!

We can argue all day about Malky's team selection and formation, but it was poor defending and poor decision making on the pitch that cost us yesterday IMO!
