is anyone else just falling out of love with the game ?

Sun Aug 26, 2012 9:49 am

Ever since I was a young kid I loved everything to do with the game from my first subbuteo set to my first set of boots. But in recent years I can feel my interest slowly draining away from me. Maybe it part of life as different pressures come onto you but it really says something that I haven't even been bothered to even buy a Sunday morning paper for the sport section.

This has nothing much to do with the rebrand in fact it probably just was the tip of the iceberg so to say.

Is this just a mid 30's life crisis or the norm ?

when we play the kind of football we have been yes,

Im angry with the fact the club have ignored our need of signing a top striker. although we've lost chopra mackormack, bothroyd
if we had those 3 right now in exchange for whart we have we would be a better outfit

Ah well the young generation of fans will have to take place, the ones that the older generation slate for being so fickle and non passionate, despite seeing that a lot of our away following seems to consist of a young contingeince

Definitely. I havent been away since Chelsea in the Cup, my love for the game is getting less every year. Modern football just dont do it for me anymore.

Last couple of seasons have felt a chore but I had a ST so I still went. Didnt renew this year and in light of the re-brand I am glad.

Hardly any 3pm Sat kick offs, bubble trips / liasing with Police if you want to do an independant coach (WTF!?!?!), leaving Ninian Park, Shit soulless new ground, Malkys awful style of play, and now the atrocious red kit. Year on year football and Cardiff as I know it has been slowly dying.

Football only really interests / excites me from a betting point of view now.

I overheard a couple of young lads singing a song about Keinen being Jewish and having no fore skin. This was at Northampton away and it was hilarious. The old days all us fans would have learnt the words and soon got a chorus going. The love/enthusiasm is not there without doubt.

You dont need to go to the away games to work out Malkys footballing philosophy is garbage.

We didnt just start playing shit yesterday its been going on since he arrived and at an alarming rate since January.

We're just not on good form, the results and performances will pick up. We'll be in top 6 again this season without a doubt.

Weve not been on good form for over half of Malkys tenure ffs

Worst football witnessed at Cardiff in 10 seasons back in the Championship.

So you're saying we played better football when we were a mid table side from the years of 2003 to 2008?

Oh 100%. At least we had a go at the opposition, especially at home. Got the juices flowing. Got Block A and the Grange End rocking.
Got people off the edge of their seats even if we didnt win every game.

Now out biggest problem is getting people off their seat because theyve fallen asleep!!!

YES
for the passed 4 yrs said thats it had enough , yet still get the season ticket , every year seems to be less of a buzz, and this f*cking bullshite re-brand the Cardiff City Red Dragons :o loyalty is being pushed to the limit this Red kit is a total pisstake
a few of the Lads have said this could be their last season ?, it don`t feel like the Cardiff City we grew up supporting it just aint the same
but as soon as you stop going the bastards will get promoted :D that would be f*cking typical

pretty much done now if im honest. my enthusiasm was whipped up by the brand of football we played against newcastle only to have my bubble burst by the return to the dreadful negative shite we have played in the first few games of the season.
biggest disapointment for me was not sorting out the back four in the pre season.

Yea, fallen out of love with the game massively since the rebrand happened. I still listen to city's games on the radio, but not that interested any more to be honest.

Ok lets go a bit further.

Who is really hurting over this game yesterday?

Not me, well not much compared to well other games before the rebrand.

I dont want to see the club lose...still got those feeling but damn if I'm going to suffer for the sake of these Malaysians until they have proved themselves.

More than that.

I said a few games before the end of the season if we don't change then we will be relegation material come the new season which is upon us now. The new signings have not excited me, I put that down to the rebrand, but worse of all the football is worse.

At this moment I really do feel we have been sold down the river.
