if whittingham drops back much deeper malky might as well play him in goals,he seems to be playing in between midfield and defence to me and it justy aint doing him any favours

Hes not digging the system, like many. So thats why his morale is low

Too much emphasis on science and formation for me,yes a certain amount is needed but I would prefer to play to my players strengths and get them doing what they do best. 4-4-2 is a good formation if you have 10 good outfield pro's who know what they are doing.Brian Clough simplified the game....Ball,grass,net points.
I do wonder if MM's constant barking of orders is a hindrance,I think he needs to chill a bit and let them play.
