Most who offend have only been on here a short while. They are the reason some of the long term members dont post anymore.

This board has gone downhill in the last year. Too many faceless keyboard warriors spoiling it hiding behind multi-user names. Some people need to realise that there is more to life than football. My Mrs is going through shit at the moment again and has another hospital appointment in the week for a life changing illness. Really tempted to give whole football lark up.

Totally agree with Ian, you should be able to have a debate and friendly banter without name calling.

Just goes to show their level of intelligence when people have to name call, however can Adam Brown be a acceptance he deserves all the names in the world.

The fact is, at one time Mike Morris's message board was the place to be, for the first few years it was fun and educational even, with the odd knob head popping up, but in recent years it's attracted a lot of troll type posters who post for attention and will argue or spout crap and see any response as an acknowledgement.

My view is that freedom of speech is healthy as long as posters are accountable, perhaps it would be more balanced i people were not anonymous and everyone was registered and traceable and limited to one registration only, I am not totally innocent myself and it is easy to get caught up in things, but for this board to prosper and survive I personally think it would be the way forward.

Like it or not, we have attracted a lot of the troll type agitators in recent month, and Mike's board is a lot cleaner since their cross over.

People will get fed up of having debates/arguments spoiled by name calling and abuse, I will argue my point till I'm blue in the face, but would rather do it with facts, opinions , knowledge and experience even, may not always be right but I will fight for what I believe in or believe is right for the club, in all honesty some of those I have argued with the most on here have become good friends since chatting behind the scenes, doesn't mean they or I have changed their views or minds, just that a bit of common sense and humanity proved the winner.

Expect loads of abuse for these views, but as i have stated before it's water off a ducks back, because this isn't the real world, it's make believe internet world, and we can make it what we want to, hopefully enough of us want to make it better, not simply wreck it.

Sorry to hear about your wife's illness Gareth, hope that everything turns out for the better. Following your football team is supposed to be a healthy and fun distraction, but with everything thats happening with our club and then you add the huge financial commitment of following a club these days, and it turns into the complete opposite.
