Call me crazy , but i think it just works.
4-3-2-1
GK : D.Marshall.
LB: A.Taylor.
CB: M.Hudson
CB: B.Turner.
RB: K.McNaughton.
RM: P.Whittingham.
CDM: A.Gunnarsson
LM: C.Bellamy.
LAM: J.Mason.
RAM: T.Smith.
CF: E.Velinkonja
Subs : E.Velikonja - H.Helguson and depending whos having a stinker in defence or midfield , defender off for M.Connoly because he can play anywhere along the back four , if its A.Gunnarsson having a stinker then J.Mutch can play there or anywhere else Kim can play. And yes drag P.Whittingham out again wide because i think when he played there he was more consistent and in my eyes a better player. Also the 4-3-2-1 would not let us get caught like we did against Bristol today and is both attacking and defending. Yeah some may not agree , maybe some will. If i was Malky i would but am i? No. Everyone saying Malky out needs a good kick and wake up call. Its a Marathon as im concerned not a sprint so 4 points out of 1 home game and 2 tough away games ill take. BELIEVE.

No kim in the first one?,
I would much rather see a different formation to 4-5-1, Im not sure if Malky has decided to try and lose deliberately or whether he's starting his mates,
we have half an x watford now,

I like it but it's not gonna happen, no teams could ever play that formation, it's too extravagant, it's a FM players dream, Gunnarsson's best role is just in front of the defenders then Whittingham is adventurous then we'll have Kim Bo just behind the strikers or Mason(I believe Masons best role is just behind the strikers) it'd suit him well as he could have a lot of freedom in that position

4-1-3-2
GK Marshall
RB McNaughton
CB Hudson
CB Turner
lB Taylor
DM Gunnarson
CAM Whittingham
LW Bellamy
RW Kim
ST Mason
ST Velikonja
Velikonja needs to start a few games especially with the price we paid for him.
And aslong as Kim and Bellamy work up and down the channels constantly and not bein lazy, this would be my starting XI

To achieve autamatic promotion this season, I honestly believe players such as Kev, Tayls, Cowie and Heidar are simply not good enough.
This team would be good enough to get automatic with 3 new signings I reckon:
4-2-3-1
---------------------Marshall-----------------
New Signing--Hudson--Turner--New Signing
------------Gunnarsson---Mutch--------------
Kimbo---------------Whitts--------------Bellers
-------------------New Signing-------------------
Subs: Lewis, Mcnaughton, Connolly, Kiss, Cowie, Conway, Mason

You guys have missed out Tommy Smith , i went to Bristol today and i tell you what , that boy was 2x the player Whittingham was , ran rings around and a 33 washed up Premier League player , swooped over into right midfield for some part of the game! And he was running riot out there , definitely in my starting XI

Bellamy in a midfield 3.

Yes you are crazy.

He ran so many riot rings around them we lost 2-4 and barely created f-all.

Funnily enough I had the same idea as you.
Came up with a very similar side too except I would have Kim as lf attacking midfield and move Bellamy up to partner Smith behind Mason up front.
From the bit I have seen of Kim on Youtube (yes I know it is not necessarily a good guide) he seems to be a hardworking midfielder who does a lot of work all over the park but can break quickly from midfield.
No target man there, but if we play the ball on the ground instead of pumping high balls ad nauseum I don't think that will necessarily be a problem.

Prefer Ted Rogers 3-2-1

yeah we lost but he was amazing throughout the game , definitely in my starting XI , and barley created f-all? Where you at the game?
