Even thou Matt can play across the back four, i dont think he is mobile enough to be a full time fullback, he is here to keep Turner & Hudson on there toes. If Matt get a chance at CB he might be hard to shift.

Also With Blake looking like he's moving on i can't Kev going anywhere

Our fullbacks have got it to easy. Nobody pushing them for their places. They can play shit every week and still keep their place in the team, not ideal imo.

Connolly hasn't been bought as a replacement for Macnaughton. Yes, he can play full-back if required, but that's not what he's been brought in to do. We still need a quality replacement for Kev.....the Kevin Macnaughton of 3 years ago would be nice!

Connolly will prob be cover for the time being, until Cup runs start. His arrival will spur the current defenders to train harder and improve their game. He will most likely be used when any of the back four become jaded and look like they could do with a weeks rest.
