Belamy don't seem the player he was with team GB

Wed Aug 22, 2012 4:37 pm

2 games now and slightly out of sorts! I understand gelling, new side and all that but wasn't bell playing with a new side with team gb. He has,in a way had a good pre season and he has massive expectation on his shoulders but Im not sure he can deliver that expectation at the moment.
You can see moments of brilliance but he's not the Belamy I know!! Not sure if he has stuff on his mind but I think we should look at another option just for Saturday. Prob will be the case to rest him on Saturday anyway.

What's your thoughts?

Baz, I personally don't think the formation suits Bellamy and he is not getting the service.

Have faith, Bellamy will be on fire soon, once this team/squad jells. :ayatollah:

This. I'd like to see us look a bit more attack minded and when that happens I think we'll see the best of a few players.

I think its the players he has around him - With us he has to work harder & I don't really think he has the heart for a fight

i think he def has the heart for a fight.. he is always 110% committed, but he has to have the ball and players around him to support what hes doing..

difference with team gb, was that he could play off ramsey, cleverley, giggs etc.. who are all top quality with the ball..

I agree Bellamy being played out of position. Would rather him more central.

Bellamy has done OK in both league games so far. The Championship is proper football, not an under-23 tournament like the Olympics.

Well he didn't have 2 players marking him for gb.

SURELY Craig Bellamy is just another member of Malky's squad, and IF for whatever reason he is not playing well enough, then he should not be selected for the first team, until he wins his place back? This is where Malky earns his corn.....getting underperformers to shine. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Exactly and Bellamy had a good first half at least yesterday, although he seemed to tire a bit later in the second half!

Can't see that he's being played out of position either, as he usually plays out wide and not as a front man!

MM would make messi look shit with his set up.

A combination of hoofball / spoiling tactics, and our players are not on the same footballing level of the GB midfielders who can give Bellers the service he requires.

Bellers needs to be playing with better players to get the best out of him. He took a while to adjust last time but was playing off Jay then who is a far better footballer than Helguson.

I also feel that he doesn't want to be here, its a decision influenced by his family by all accounts and I think he still believes he should be at top 10 premiership team. I'l get battered for this but his hearts not in Cardiff and it never has been, he won't be here if we don't go up next season.

Enjoy it while it lasts, the best player to ever don the Bluebirds jersey apart from Joe Ledley and Brian Clark.

I think playing for team GB and Liverpool he had alot more time on the ball,i think championship football is played at a faster pace and opposing teams are stifling him ,Bellers should be given the freedom to roam thats when we will get the best out of him :ayatollah:

What's your thoughts?

We haven't got Ramsey and Allan in midfield your only as good as the players around you, and the service you are given

What are you talking about, Ian Gibson, and Gary O'neil were better than Ledley, and also Ramsey, Brian Clark was a great player but not as good as Toshack

There was nothing wrong with the set up last night Tuggs, we played some lovely football at times, especially in the first half!

We were unlucky with a clearance off the line by Mackaill-Smith from a Hudson header in the frst half, Kusczak made a superb save from a Cowie shot in the second half, before he bettered that with his double save from mason and then Velikonja!

I haven't, because if you read one of the other posts I've made tonight, you'll see that I said that Turner was our outfield MOTM!

I also said that it could have gone either way, with us being the better side in the first half and Brighton in the second!

And were you there btw, or are you like a lot of the negative posters on here last night, also basing Cardiff's performance on a radio or newspaper report?

He played on the Right for team GB and I would like to see him moved over to that flank.

It would be better. Him playing the left also makes it difficult for Taylor as Bellamy wont defend as much. If hes on the right you have a solid defender in kev to deal with it. When Kimbo comes I can see him and bellamy swapping often throughout the match

I dont think you know a lot about bellamy if you dont think he has the heart for the fight, if there is one player that has the heart for the fight, it is Bellamy

He was a constant threat in the first 45 minutes last night. Looked a fantastic player. Didn't seem to be quite as involved second half though.

From a BHA fan. :)
