what i heard on the net com we were well beaten.butland should have stopped the first two though sam.saw them on ssn.shocking.well done .seems like there is a buzz about blue sheffield atm.

It will be interesting to see if DJ has another good October followed by a poor November. He did it three times with us including winning manager of the Month in October TWICE.

sam, im always looking out for your results now with regards to dj, good start for you and a good victory over brum, one thing i always remember with dj was the ability to score goals, but keeping clean sheets was something of a luxury.. if the goals dry up i still think you will look likely to conceed a goal or 2... i would to see you up in the mix come end of the season as you have fantastic support , but the difference between this league and any other is over the last two seasons or so is that you can go out and beat the likes brum 1 week and then lose to peterboro at home the following, thats how unpredictable it can be..

That's the one main factor i agree with, that MM will keep him on his toes.

Dave Jones & Peter Ridsdale had too much of a cushy & laid back professional working relationship as far as i'm concerned.

Would MM put up with a Sheffield derby being described as "just another game" ???

from what ive seen so far since hes taken over you may be right and ive been quite impressed...

i also watched a short programme on sky sports anytime following you and sheff utd towards the end of last season as well as hereford and barnet i think.. a lot of fans spoke really highely of how things had changed since he came in and how exciting the football was to watch..

Both my cousins are Wednesday fans both from Ponty but have lived in Sheffield for 40 years. They reckon Dave Jones is the best manager they have had in 20 years!

They took me on the Kop at Hillsborough for a 5-2 hammering back in December 83, no roof on it then & it pissed down. Good club with good fans but we'll still finish above you!

Indeed, I was a jones fan and still think with better home support he could have got us up in the year we had bellers.

It wasn't the home support that made them go on the piss before the Middlesborough game and completely f**k up the best position position we were in to go up since the Sheffield United game in the early seventies.

A decent manager who lost control of some maverick players. Nothing to do with the support from the boardroom or from the terraces.
