I do not like his arrogance Annis. He thinks he's billy f*cking big time but in reality he's shite. Lets look at his career, Wales I cannot fault because he was excellent for us and the crowds thought so too. He made the Millenium stadium a very good place, far better atmosphere in a full welsh football match under Hughes than any egger match however I can't say iv'e been to a egg match there before.

Blackburn inflated his ego, two consecutive 6th place finishes I think and he began to think he was the next Bill shankly. When he went to City his arrogance went sky high, he was dog shit there and signed players he couldn't control such as Robinho. Hughes gave shit players long contracts like Bridge and Santa Cruz, City are struggling to off load these players now.

What really grates me about Hughes is that he walked out on Fulham because the club didn't match his ambitions AKA not giving him enough money to spend. He should have stayed there, he was doing an excellent job. When he went to QPR he came out with statements like "I am interviewing the club rather than the other way round" and "I need to judge whether they will give me enough funds". He stayed up by a whisker last season and lost 5-0 to the Jacks on Saturday even after a little helping hand from Ferguson.

Hughes is arrogant, he will only go for the top jobs and will never drop down a division like Big Sam did to start from scratch. You could see these qualities in him as a player over the years, he is someone I have followed closely as he is Welsh. I think he will fail at QPR, they shouldn't have sacked Warnock.

I think he's a shit manager, who thinks he's a lot better than he is as a manager. Think QPR have this god given right to be in the Premier League, and the smugness in the match programme was hilarious to read after the game. Stating that QPR will never be down the bottom end of the Premier League and talking up all his signings, then we go and put 5 past them.

We told him he was getting sacked in the morning, maybe not this soon but if they're in the relegation zone after 10 games it'll be bye, bye Sparky.

Annis in a nutshell I rate Mark Hughes very much.

How can people slag off his record? He took over a relegation threatened BRFC side, kept them safe & the next season after bringing in his own players got them to a League cup & FA cup semi final not to mention finishing 6th in the PL & qualifying for Europe. He got Blackburn to 3 successive FA cup semi finals & finished 10th in his second season, again a great achievement for a club punching above their weight.

At Fulham where he publicly stated the clubs lack of ambition he got them an 8th place finish in the PL & again a Europa League spot.

At City he was never going to be the peoples man.

I spoke to a few of the QPR players yesterday at training & they said his attention to detail & training techniques were very impressive, they all acknowledged that they had failed HIM on Saturday & not the other way round as they didn't follow the instructions they were given. All players are GPS tracked in training so sessions can be compared, any player who's performance levels in training are lower than the previous session is asked to see the staff to explain why this may be keeping all players on their toes.

We had a shambles of a day Saturday & I agree it was best that result happened now rather than when we have all our business done & have no solution, at the end of the day you learn a lot in defeat.

Swansea could of nicked a 1-0 win or beat us 20-0 its still only 3 points, yes it hurt pride but I honestly feel we won't make the same mistakes twice.

As for his so called arrogance, Alex Ferguson, Mourinho, Wenger for example all top managers have a streak of arrogance, you have to have that to manage these egos & attitudes at the top level.

well what he did for wales makes him a good manager in my eyes, nearly at a mojor tounament best crowns we have ever had to date, and great football i dont see wats wrong with him, didnt get given time at man city, did great at blackburn. :!: :!:

Mark Hughes destroyed welsh football and it took a decade to rebuild it.

He did well at small clubs like fulham and Blackburn so he may do ok for qpr. I'm massively unimpressed with his signings though.

  sorry Chief cant go along with that !! Bobby Gould didn't do any harm did he. And Toshack well to be fair he done good and bad IMO. No i don't hold much hope for Coleman but i felt the same way about speed. He is the Manager and we have to back him for now coz i ain't a rebel   . But that can soon change. :ayatollah:

I'd rather have mark hughes as our national manager than them pair of cock gobbling wingnuts we got now. That's all I'm saying

Re: Fao Stan QPR

Fair play Gould was also shit.

Mark Hughes though used Wales for the big prem job he wanted (and got). Mark Hughes totally ignored the u21 team (didn't they not win for 3 years or something stupid like that?). He also let the squad grow old together, he took far to long to brum through the younger players, even the likes of Collins and Gabbidon.
When Hughes left the average age of the squad must have been massively high, next to no young players with any experience.

Tosh got it spot on when he took over, got an u21 manager who he worked with and then brought through the youth, the managers after tosh were always going to be the ones who reped the rewards. Sadly tosh tactically was a mess.

Going slightly off topic. But I agree with this.
However regarding Hughes, I think there's too many egos at QPR now for him to handle... I just don't see him lasting long there?

Just a little off topic
I think Dawson will be a good signing for qpr if they can keep him fit.
Other signings he has made have left me feeling unimpressed.

I think Sparky works better with a budget.

When he's given too much money he just causes a mess.

Don't think anyone can argue with that.

Very much about what's best for him.

As much as I disliked Tosh as a manager I think it was more than that for him. He build a foundation for speed to carry on and one for Coleman to......
