I'm now considering not going to Bristol on Saturday.
Was looking forward to the away day, but the last thing I want is to end up in a hospital bed.

get a f*cking grip, its only Bristol....I think he was just educating the naive, being scared is healthy....makes you run faster.

if you are serious though you may aswell stay home cos you'll have a nervous breakdown otherwise.

aye, to be fare I had no idea what to expect that day...especially cos our bus load were buzzing off our faces on anything and everything...I almost forgot why i was there I let myself get into such a mess. We didn't get into fulham broadway until after kick off...walked out 70 strong to meet THE finest dressed grandads I have ever seen and ever will do...and then biggest fucker pointing me out and calling me on! I was like, nahhhhh your alright and had a few exchanges with the eager youth with them instead and to be fair one completely dropped my mate... Wise men survive days like that....i was just lucky. haha.

I think it was aimed more at our younger fans, be sensible and keep switched on you'll be fine.
Can't wait myself!

Gwyn's advice was sound. Just be careful, and you will be OK. Don't let yourself get isolated. This will be a new experience for some younger fans, but there is a long history between our clubs. Bristol is a big city; just be careful out there! ( As the sargeant on Hill Street Blues used to say)

Ned not if you wear our new home kit

I just hope there's no drama, so we can enjoy the fixture in the future without the hassle of a bubble, they've give us rope, let's hope we don't hang ourselves.
Mon Aug 20, 2012 9:58 pm
Don't wear colours and don't act like a gobby knob head and you will be fine
Mon Aug 20, 2012 9:59 pm
Gwyn was a bit over the top, there will be no trouble. Should be a good away day (if we don't lose).

More likely I'd get ripped to pieces by our fans
Are you going Annis?

genuine question, but why do you feel the need not to go from gwyns post? we all know what away days can be like and even though it is 2012 there is always going be few idoits and always the risk of trouble, have you watched all the footie firm films? read annis books or any other hooligan books? watched hooligan tv programmes e,g danny dyer reall footie factories? if so and you still been to away days or even home games then why dont that make you think twice about away day and not just gwyns post? we all have our own risk, but saying that a post of someone else shouldnt make you change your mind.

Mate, I go to Shrewsbury because my dad supports them and it's the only chance I get to see him all year round. Surely most people can understand that?
The initial post was a bit of a joke tbf, knew I was going to go anyway
