a marketing ploy, bring the 2 shirts out at the same time and blue would outsell red i think, just excited fans, cant wait for the blue shirts to go on sale.

Was talking about this subject earlier, but i think its a marketing plan too sell a many red shirts as possible before making the blue ones available. Simple sales strategy. I wouldn't be surprised if the blue shirts are not on sale until next December.
