attendances

just a thought about people who complain we dont sell out games! we had 4th best attendance usual suspects above us leicester, leeds, derby, we had 21k +also with ipswich so please can we get some prospective instead of bleating about not selling out games! also if you factor in the weather, sky + friday night game, it would have been lot better just except we are one of the best supported teams in champ! :ayatollah:

No no we had such a crap attendance because all the die hard fans stayed away as a protest

Yeah it was a very good attendance.

Friday games are always low, people plan nights out, a lot of people are travelling home or stuff for the weekend.

It was in sky as well and it was raining.

I was impressed tbh, I thought about 20k before the game.

Those 3 would all have benefitted from big away followings..#

Wednesday -short trip 1st game back. Maybe took 5000 ?

Wolves to leeds

Short trip for Peterbro to Leicester.

By the way Forest also had a few hundred more than us.

being serious though ground holds 27k of that 3.5k is for away fans give or take, leaves 24k for home fans as 98% of crowd is home fans so we dont fall to far short of home capacity during season, its non attendance in family stand that i dont get! very thew games in champ will sell out this season derby about only ones regulaly for home support probably

There were a lot of empty seats last night. No way were there 21K there. It was mentioned on the forum that there was nearer 16k which was about right by the amount of empty seats.

IMO they need to make a section of the family stand non-season ticket, and make the block nearest the away fans ticket only or something like that. The amount of empty seats in the family stand is embarrasing.

Or they could put ticket prices up a bit in that stand to stop people buying on the cheap and only turning up when they feel like it. Make room for the more loyal fans :ayatollah:

I think that will happen once the price freeze is finished. Season after next ?

If the rest of our ground was sold out i could understand where you are coming from

but we will always average 22k for the season in the championship

until the ground sells out the family stand will not change because on paper yo :ayatollah: :ayatollah: u cannot get a ticket in there

People complain about Away Attendances for us.. when you got to think how hard we have it compared to the English Clubs.

Football is becoming expensive, some people just don't have the money, people can moan and moan about empty seats but there's more to life than football like paying your bills off, making sure you have food etc. It's why I support the FSF to try and get football prices lowered
