Not as many as I'd like to - and why did Jimmy Andrews always look so camp?

Thats the side I followed everywhere.Hated the new shirt though-said I would never watch them again while they played with that cowardly yellow stripe but quickly got over myself and supported them ever since after all they were the mighty cardiff city of the day. Some things never change.
I got most of them but the old grey matter not working as well as it used to.

Wrong era for Roger Gibbins.
My best guess is:
know his face (can't think of his name), Tony Evans, not sure, Bill Irwin, dunno, John Buchanan
middle row: first two both familiar, Derek Showers, Phil Dwyer, David Giles,
front row: Peter Sayer (saw that goal against Spurs in '77), dunno, Doug Livermore, Jimmy Andrews, Richie Morgan, dunno and dunno.
Shame on me, I should've known more.

the black player clive charles went on to be head coach of the USA team .... he died about 8 years ago! ... i think this side is from the 1976/77 season because mike england is not on the photo and he was there during our promotion year 1975/76 ..... robin friday would have been in that team photo had we signed him earlier!

No problem naming them all. Those were the days. Remember Peter Sayer suddenly hitting the headlines after that goal against Spurs. Classic game against Wrexham then and a narrow defeat to Everton and bloody Duncan Mackenzie! Think he drove a sponsored TR7 after that as he came to our local boys club presentation evening. Memories just came flooding back and reminds me why I love supporting the City so much

First season back in the old 2nd div, Anderson & Alston left the club half way through the season.
We survived the season on goal difference, after a 1-1 last home draw with Carlisle.

My first season too. You've got a better memory than me, though, with the line-up.

My favorite player that season was Tony Evans. I remember Peter Sayer driving around in a TR7 after his heroic goal v Spurs in the FAC 3rd round. Derek Showers was later sold to AFC Bournmouth, [i think], & i'm sure Albert Larmour lived in the Hengoed area? John Buchanan was a warrior, & i remember going to Ron Healey's testimonial a couple of years later, i think it was v Wolves. Didn't Doug Livermore later go on to coach at Liverpool???
