I'm not sure if it will improve but Andrew Taylor and Bellamy didnt click last night at all. With the amount of time our back four had last night, I think maybe try Whitts at Left Back. It didn't work either with him playing holding midfield, they saw that coming a mile off and pressed straight away as soon as he came back for the ball - but they gave our defence plenty of time on the ball. Put Whitts left back, for him to dink the ball to Bellamy - problem solved.

Bellamy is fine left wing if the opposition doesn't offer a great deal offensively that side, but Bellamy rarely tracks back so the opposition can double up (the hope is that Mutch/Whitts/Gunnar will cover that area). It doesn't help that Taylor is a pretty good offensive LB but struggles defensively.
But it's early days, maybe they will click.

During the Olympics Bellamy played on the Right and looked much more of a threat.

Yep, they had plenty of time to pick their 60-70 yard hoof ball passes!!.

I'd like to see whitts playing just behind the strikers he's dangerous in that area, I don't understand why we don't play mutch or gunnar as a anchor player where there comfortable.
