Today the new Rangers play their first home game after being liquidated, in their programme there will be a blank space under their honours list because they have lost their history, there is a massive difference. No Cardiff fan wants to play in red at home but the majority of us are prepared to where the re-branding takes us, you have a different opinion and i accept that, but don,t keep throwing it at us at every opportunity, move on, the rest of us have, as for opposing fans singing about our re-branding whatever next? they might even sing god save the queen!!!!

I dont see anyone else within 25 threads bringing up old news about the rebrand or history yet your asking people to move on by bringing up what we have all talked to death about for the last three months.

So what certainty does the re-brand take us then ? More debt if we don't get promoted maybe ?

Look, this is a personal view, and I know Sam got carried away by his enthusiasm, but he is a football man. He understands football tradition and football supporters. Those who are now having a love in with VT and Co were worshiping Sam a few years ago. I personally don't want "fair weather friends". Give me the likes of Annis etc who, it seems, value their friendships, and don't turn their backs on their old pals when a new mate comes along.

For someone who knew his football he sure made some strange decisions over wages etc. In my opinion sam threw money at his premiership project the same way vt is doing at the moment. The main difference is that the club is more proffesional now and vt has the money to fulfil that dream. If sam had spent his money wisely and had trusted a few more peolpe locally he might well still have control of the club.

Well Steve, it is YOUR club, and I am a Jack b*stard, but without Sam where would Cardiff be at the moment? Probably in the lower leagues, playing in front of a few thousand at Ninian Park, but at least you would still be The Bluebirds. OK so Sam only came here because he thought he could waken a "sleeping giant" and make lots of money in the process, but I think Sam genuinely loves the club. As you said he made some "strange decisions", but that was his heart ruling his head, and he would never have ridden rough shod over the traditions of CCFC with scant regard to the feelings of the supporters.
You could have gone into admin at any time during the last four seasons, taken a ten point hit, stayed in the Championship, and been debt free. Look at how Southampton have done since admin.
Thanks for the reasoned response, as I say its your club, and I don't want to see you go under, I want to play you a couple of times a season, and finish above you in the league, and if we could do that in the Premier League it would be fantastic!
