After your display last night you should have a decent season. Grayson has brought in some Championship experience into your team and you still have Rhodes. You sat back and it looked as if you came to Cardiff to get the point. As the game went on your confidence grew and Huddersfield created the best chances. If it wasn't for Marshall you could have won the game by 2 or 3 goals.
Enjoy the season ahead.

When news filtered through that Jordan Rhodes was sidelined through injury I have to confess my heart sank. He doesn't dictate how we play necessarily more that he has the knack of being in the right place at the right time. His absence therefore was a massive blow!
However, as the game unfolded it became clear that we weren't just there as mere cannon fodder. To be honest, the first half was something of a stalemate with the Terriers creating at least one decent chance, that Arfield managed to squander, but I thought we more than held our own. At half time I was left thinking Jordan would have buried that missed chance.
The second half was a much better game of football, in which I thought we showed that we can defend and get men behind the ball. We kept our shape pretty well and restricted you to just a few half chances. Jack Hunt had a great game coming from deep positions on the right-side, made more impressive by also keeping Bellamy in check when he had to defend. As the half entered the final quarter I could sense your fans were becoming very frustrated not least by some robust tackling by our midfield. That aspect of our game was sadly missing last season, we gave the ball away cheaply and didn't work hard enough to retrieve it, so although your fans were annoyed I was actually pleased to see us showing more resilience in that area of play. Another fairly easy chance went begging to Arfield and I was left thinking we'd never score. Up until that point I was very pleased with our overall performance and thought we deserved at least a point.
Then came the defensive 'turn off' at the death. I think one of the TV commentators, or was it Simon Grayson said we'll score a 91st minute winner ourselves at some point this season so lets not get too upset. But when you've played fairly well and held one of the strongly fancied teams on their own patch for 90+ minutes to lose it at the death was a sickener and no mistake!
I'm sure you'll have a great season, even more so once your new players 'bed-in', you'll have more cohesion about your play and be up there! Right now you're top of the pile and we're propping everyone up! Funny old game football 'init?' I expect all Terriers fans were left pondering if Jordan had been on the pitch he would have converted at least one of those chances but hey ho!...we'll fight again!

Yes, you noticed that as well!![]()
Early days yet mate! Like you, we still have to bed our new players in and Jordan would have scored at least two of those chances we created last night - brilliant keeper or not!
If that's the standard of a 'fancied' team then I'd say we'll be up there too at some point!
