Standard Balti - Canton take away

Anyone been to the take away?
Been on and off for a few years, always indifferent but decent.

Went last night as I passed, "under new management". Ordered the food, it took an age but that's not problem if it's good.
After we ordered we noticed if we spent an extra £1 we had 20% off (in theory could have ordered £4 of food for £1 ). He didn't tell us when ordering, fair enough but then he told someone on the phone the offer

anyway the proof is in the pudding....
Got home had our curry and simply the worst take away in Cardiff, awful, pathetic small bits of chicken that tasted funny. Sauce average but the best part of the meal.
Lamb tikka starter tough and poor
Keema naan was just rubbish.

Avoid this take away.

They go by reputation Chief. If they are consistently bad then there trade will suffer.But noted but unlikely to remember when pissed

Indeed. Est in 1980 and as above I've been many many times over last 10 years and it's been indifferent but decent.
They are boasting as under new owners but it's not good quality, especially when you consider the competition in canton.
Last night was awful food, shared with my dad and both agreed we wouldn't go back.

(ps this really isn't a secret Cardiff thread to do with owners etc it's about curry)
