Kyle Bartley to Swansea

Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:44 pm

Pretty sure I read on here recently that we were linked with him. Just read a couple of players on Twitter congratulating him on his move to the Jacks.

He,s been at Arsenal for three years but never played for the first team, last season he was up here, loaned out to rangers for the season, ask any Rangers fans what they thought of him, CRAP.

oh right - thanks for the update. I'm sure he'll be very happy in his caravan with some spanish guy who was good at the same time as Vincente. I'm happy with our Premier League signings too, but have I come on your message board to tell you. No, because you couldn't give a f**k, just like I can't about your signings, so please go away.

Only on Saturday here were some comments by your fans on Kyle Bartley:

"BARTLEY NOW THATS A GREAT OMEN IF THERE EVER WAS ONE! ..... SIGN HIM UP MALKY! .... WILSON IS WATCHING OVER US!"

"Yes please, just the type of defender we need, he has pace."

"would be a good signing"

"Would be a great signing"

"Would be a top signing"

Your comments were based on the fact you could sign him on loan for the season and we've signed him permanantly for just £1 million, and now all of a sudden he's crap

Why do we even care who the jacks have signed :?

Re: Kyle Bartley to Swansea

Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:58 pm

well I had to find out who these people wwere that you had signed because it was so important it was posted on our forum. Neither are the eventual captain of the GB Olympic side and former welsh captain, Asias hottest young prospect or one of the best young strikers in Europe but my life has been enhanced by the fact that you have wasted a million pounds on someone who couldn't get a game for Arsenal when all their other full backs were injured. The bigger picture might be that Taylor is going and you have bough a replacement on the cheap don't you think?

Were you expecting Wenger to pick him when his full backs were injured despite the fact he was on loan at Rangers? :?

He was out on loan at the time of the injury crisis, and he's a centre back. Typical of you to put a negative slant on it and try and say he's replacing a first teamer when the reality is that he's back up to Williams and Chico

I asked because I have no idea who he is, so I certainly didn't say sign him up Malky or any other comment on the subject, therefore really your argument falls down at the first hurdle. You may well think he is worth a million pounds but from what I understand he never played for Arsenal even when Sagna and Gibbs were long term injured and he wasn't deemd worthy of a million pound bid from 3rd divison Rangers. And before you say they couldn't afford him, they spent a million pounds on Sandanza last weekend...

Most clubs insert a recall clause if that is the case - Wenger obviously didn't think it was necessary...

Go on then, tell me what in that post is wrong then.

Re: Kyle Bartley to Swansea

Would have been decent in the Championship. Not sure he has the ability to play in the English Premier though.

Is yet be be a Premier player yet, but we will see over the next few weeks if Wenger should have given him a chance.

Or realised that international season long loans aren't allowed to have such clauses

Both Arsenals full backs were out injured but he was at Rangers so there was no way they could ever get him back. Wenger is far too stupid to insert a recall clause for that scenario and he's never played a centre back at full back because he doesn''t encourage versatility in his players does he? He's not even going to be a first choice ahead of someone callled Chico apparently.
