Bloooooooooooooobirds!!
By 'nice welcome' I assume you mean an unpleasant one?
I wouldn't expect a Cardiff City fan to say anything different to be honest mate. You're one of the hot favourites for promotion and it's 12 years since we played at this level, so the odds have to favour your lads by quite some distance I would have thought.
A lot has happened in 12 seasons. In 1998/99 season we were top of this League and spending £Millions on players. In a completely bizarre decision by the owner we sold top striker Marcus Stewart to Ipswich Town and it went tits up from then on. In the next three seasons we plummeted to the bottom tier with players on Championship wages, we entered administration and were just four days from liquidation. Nightmare stuff!
It's taken 9 years to claw our way back and one thing for sure, we won't let go of this very easily. Our new owner, Dean Hoyle has Huddersfield Town flowing through his veins and he won't rest until we reach the Premiership. I'm not saying we'll do it this season or in the near future but things are on the up and unless something tragic happens I'm convinced we'll make it eventually.
Good luck after tonight etc. etc.
