No, its the start of the stormy season mate. August - October is the main time to avoid but its a bit risky.

Erm - that is well known as the hurricane season. Check the weather forecasts. Yesterday would have been nice in Porthcawl mind - only two inches of rain

True. Hurricane season is from August to October, but anywhere from North Carolina south to Florida is going to be muggy (humid) during July and you will also have to contest with the ever present threat of afternoon thunderstorms. The thunderstorms aren't necessarily a bad thing though since it knocks down all the pollen and cools everything off. Here in NC, we often hope for afternoon thunderstorms in July and August to beat the heat.

The family and I go to Florida three or four times a year.
It is humid, and you will get afternoon thudershowers. Persoanlly the family and I always gamble on October much less crowded, and a little cooler.

July Aug is muggy but warm rains everyday about 3 o'clock

Has some have said you can set your watch by the rain in the afternoon . The rain doesn't last long so simply plan to visit the shows in the parks during this time and don't forget to pick up your Mickey mouse mack

I would be more concerned about the amount of people in the parks during that period of the year.
Most folk don't visit Busch Gardens when in Florida but it is a must !

Very hot and humid.
The afternoon thunderstorms are as warm as your shower at home!
The parks will close rides if thunderstorms are nearby (within 5 miles) if there is a danger of lightning, especially water related rides.
I'm going in March next year (Easter) - We've done April/May before, and also October/November
I could bore you to death over Florida because we love it so much! See my self indulgent blog site :

I went in August. Had a few storms like but they are really cool to see. Apart from that the weather was amazing. Loved it. Would go back in a heartbeat.

If you can stand 90 degrees Fahrenheit and a boat load of humidity you'll be fine! I've lived here since 2004 you once could set your watch by a summer 3pm storm. Not so clockwork now?? Good news is they are usually short lived, cool to watch and take the edge off the heat of the day! You'll hear locals and arseholes like me saying "we really need that rain" lol
Which parts are you visiting?
Hope you have good time!
