This New Partnership With RICOH

Is this the first sign of the commercial marketing of our club in Asia. Ricoh was founded in 1936 in Tokyo and through the years has developed into a global brand with major links to sports sponsorship, including Olympic games , tennis, golf and football. Ricoh group corporate colours are Red and with it's major sports sponsorship in the UK, Ricoh Areana, due to run out in April 2015 could this new 3 year agreement be the start of our new and probably biggest sponsorship in our history.

I must say it has me thinking and I can see Ricoh being our next shirt sponsors or maybe after 2015 stadium sponsors, it sounds really promising to me.

Once upon a time yes but the £10m stadium sponsrship was paid to the stadium owners Coventry Council and the Alan Edward Higgs Charity. Coventry City rent the stadium from the owners and didn't receive a single penny of the £10m.

Ricoh have shown they have no problem spending big money on sports sponsorship and is it such a big jump to think if this 3 year partnership goes well for both parties they could be our next and biggest commercial partners. :?

I don't think so.

Thats quite an interesting development in the whole Red/Blue saga, coukd just be a coincidence. However as a commercial partner RICOH would fit the bill pefectly, Red branding, strong Asian brand, like to sponsor sports stadia and teams=PERFECT :ayatollah:

Could be a sign of joined up thinking at Cardiff City Football Club. It's just that we are not used to it!!

I was aware of this happening for a while now and was told of the figures involved. Although I have forgotten the figure, I do remember it being huge.
