Thu Aug 16, 2012 11:01 am

so city offered 9million cash and 2 million a season when when/if we go up and not a word from sam since and it was before his deadline 3 weeks ago ,sam just except the deal and move on ,or is it that sam has no intentions of taking any monies and will wait untill we get to the premier league then try and sue us ofr the whole 24 million ? carl or annis never metioned the current deal that has been offered did they ?

Sam will not walk in a courtroom over this.

He'll get nailed and crucified

from the wales online this is important cause people on here are calling vt a lier why hasnt he settled the langstone debt etc how can cardiff city football club setle a debt if the other side dont get back officially to them ? carl had a go saying langstone has refused cardiffs offer on july 30th well why havnt they told the club ? or is it just bull shit to stir the fans up on the internet ?

On the latest £15m offer, Mr Whiteley said: "We have put the offer in writing to ensure there is no misunderstanding or miscommunication. It was made three or so weeks ago.

"We have left it firmly with Langston for them to come back to us.

"We have put a variety of offers in place and for a variety of reasons they have been rejected. We have not yet had an answer on his latest offer."

At one stage City and Langston, with former chairman Peter Ridsdale acting as a go-between, verbally agreed on a £7m plus £2m on promotion to settle the debt, but that was never finalised.

Hammam, through a third party in close friend Annis Abraham, has confirmed he would accept £10m from Cardiff City to clear the Langston loan notes as long as it was paid quickly. But he did not make that to the club.

Among the offers from Cardiff City were a straight £8m payable within 30 days, £10m in total with £3m paid up front and the rest at the end of this season or £13m with £8m up front and an addition £5m if Cardiff City are promoted to the Premier League.

The Bluebirds are still willing to talk about an honorary life presidency title for Hammam, but Mr Whiteley said: "The longer this drags on the more difficult negotiations become and the more and more difficult that presidency offer becomes to hold on to.

"Sam Hammam says it's important to have some sort of legacy with the football club and we have always said if that's the bridge to close the gap then fine."

Totally wrong, the only thing stopping Sam going to court is the fact that if he wins the case which he would an that is agreed by the man who put the contract together for the club namely PR, if he wins, he loses, because who does he then claim off, the club haven't the ability to pay that amount, if they went into admin or bust Sam is an unsecured creditor and get's peanuts, so why would he go to court.

If he sits tight till 2016 he still has the claim to his payment which will be high thirties by then and that's not disputed, but again who pays? lot of bluff and double bluff and poker playing going on. Sam can hold back VT's plans for the club to advance other than thru more VT loans rather than equity, because as soon as VT takes anymore equity, then the debt to Sam/Langston is down to Vt not the club, because Vt will be the owner with another one or two percent equity.

Vt can sit tight and say f**k you, I'll just carry on doing things the way I am, and even in 2016 the only way you get your money is to force the club into admin.
Sam can sit tight and say I'll frustrate and hold back your plans until I get the deal i want.

Somewhere along the way, hopefully an agreement can be reached that suits everyone, who knows and at the end of the day nothing any fan, or for that matter any employee at the club can do, it's down to two alpha males to come together and settle things.

Do you really believe it is going to come down to any fans involvement, I think the world of Sam and will be mates with him outside of any football matters for life, but at the end of the day, as with VT he is very much is own man, both parties are playing poker with each other, whatever any fans seem to think, we got no part in it.

It's like a divorce, the couple wont talk directly to each other, they both use mates to get messages across, but at the end of the day it's the solicitors and judegs that make them sort it out if they don't agree. :old:

This is true.Fans from both sides can bleat all they like but it don't matter one iota to VT and Sam.

Disagree.

A High Court judge was quite frank when he said Sam Hammam would most
likely be exposed as 'the driving force' behind Langstone and the loan. Not legal.
That would open up a huge can of worms. Sam dont want that.

Id believe the High Court Judge over Sam any day of the week now.

I'm sorry, but i cannot envisage the scenario years ago where Sam had all his pals out for a
beer in town, then went back to the hotel and bladdered, he told them "listen lads,
your my mates, I got to tell you... im NOT spending my money, ive taken a whopping
great loan out against the Club"... He betrayed people back then. I doubt very much
if he has turned over a new leaf now. I assume Sam had many good friends over at
Wimbledon too. People who trusted him, people who fought his corner. Sam is a charmer.
