Results will definitely affect the mood. Red has been accepted by many in order to bring success. If we have a poor start to the season I think people may find that hard to take considering the drastic changes.

It's not the fans im worried about its the press and sky they'll have a field day if we lose tomorrow

losing the first game of the season isnt good, obviously, but i wouldnt class a "start" as less than the first 6 games

If you simply read this board then your answer would be yes. Thinking it may only be my son and a handful of others wearing red then I did fear we would be on the end of some unpleasant or violent behaviour should result not be going to well. The reply I've had from a poster on here and the story someone else told would bear witness to that.

However, after going down the the launch on Friday and seeing the swathes of red at the Newcastle game I'm not particularly worried now to be honest. This board represents a small number of people who go to watch games and an even smaller percentage of the larger fan base. Views posted here with regards to KCB are very very much in the minority and are amongst some of the more extremist views that you wouldn't find out amongst the general fan.

The only problem you might find is if you are near one of these extremist people where you might get some abuse. Hopefully it won't get physical as there will be countless others there too and hopefully they will get talked down!
