A forum for all things Cardiff City

This is my first post so please guys be gentle.....been a City fan for 20 years, seen the bad days and enjoyed the Stant and Dale era.Clearly remember our first year in the Championship, best footballing year of my life.Loved our time in Div3 and 4 when City were a big fish in the small pond of the lower leagues, remember Torquay,Plymouth ,Barnet away, more City fans than the home support. Seen the main guys behind this forum kick off in Swansea, Bradford, Darlington, Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham!!! My 7 year son wants the red CITY top with Bells name and number on the back.....as much as I resent the rebrand, feel it is his decision as he is the new generation of City fan. Would prefer my son to ask for a red CITY shirt with Bellamy on the back than a red shirt with Gerrard, Rooney or Van Persie!!!! Would u feel the same????? So my original point was....would you prefer City playing in red with the Jacks in the Premier League or blue with Newport and Wrexham???

Exactly how i feel. Still feel a red City shirt is preferable to Man Ure, Liverpool, Arsenal etc....

No it's not a Cardiff City shirt. It's a Vincent Tan United FC shirt.
Big difference.

You should sit him down and show him that you tube compilation of Cardiff fans celebrating wildly. Then explain that how silly he will look wearing red when we are called the Bluebirds. Teach him the song , you are my Cardiff.

Tell him that when we are in the premier league next season, playing manure, and not playing bury,etc...

My son is all grown up, but if he was a youngster I'd tell him pretty much the same.
No drama anyway, we have a Blue away kit. I'd buy my kid that

There would be No Cardiff City Fc you utter fool. No-one would invest in us if they leave. There would be no adminstration it would be Liquadation..
Spoke to some Cardiff Fans been going for years and said the odd 300 going to all low league teams wasn't as good as some people make out and prefer to be aiming higher than drop.

I can remember the very same arguments made when shirt advertising was introduced all those years ago. Now nobody blinks at having a shirt sponsor and a few years ago Ridsdale even got his arsed kicked when he forgot to get one

An easy thing to say when there is no danger of it happening (at present)
But I'm sure if it did happen the attitude would change.
