Marshall should retire from international football!!!

I know he wouldn't because he's clearly a proud Scot however if I was him I would be fuming constantly getting called up to the Scotland squad only to sit on the bench. McGregor is clearly their No.1 and rightly so however that Craig Levein never seems to give Marshall the opportunity to show what he can do. It's a friendly FFS, what does playing McGregor prove?

I'd get demoralized and would rather stay in Cardiff and prepare for the season and make sure I establish myself as Cardiff's No.1.

You could well be right, I just think it's naughty of Levein to not give both Marshall and Gilks a half each (they're both clearly back-up to McGregor so at least least let the other two show what they can do on an international stage). As you say if McGregor gets injured Marshall could step up, however it's important he's given at least some game time with his defence so they can develop an understanding. Strange and poor management IMO
