Rooney & RVP - Good luck defending against that!

Looks like the RVP -> Man Utd deal is almost complete. Good bit of business for both sides, Utd have got a world-class striker while Arsenal have got as good a fee as they could possibly expect to get for 29 y/o with less than 12 months to run on his contract. As much as I dislike United I can't wait to see how Fergie sets his team up this season. I thought Man City had the best potential strike force until I looked at what United have - Rooney, RVP, Wellbeck, Berbatov, Hernandez, Macheda, etc.

Hopefully we can join them shortly and test ourselves against the very best :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Gotta say that's a hell of a coup for United, and they fecking needed it with the Man City squad

Dont think Rooney is the player he was a few years Ago mind. I think he has been in decline for a little while now. At one time i thought he was going to be a world beater. However, too much granny shagging and the odd smoke and drink have blunted his talents.
Still would have to be Man City frontline for me.

they love buying strikers dont they!!

nick powell that young chilliean dude cant remember name similar to herenandez name and now rvp

that will be

Rooney
Herenandez
Wellbeck
Van persie
Berbatov (probs be gone now)
Macheda
That chillian dude
Nick powell

those strikers top my head be going head to head foor the 4 main striking places

maybe cheeky loan bid for nick powell now? even though fergie did state he wont be going out onloan

Van Persie will make Rooney work harder in fairness. :ayatollah:

Darcy had Rooney in his pocket at Wembley and I seem to remember Loovens stopping Van Persie at Highbury a few years back.

In fact I think I'm right in saying that neither Rooney or Van Persie have ever scored against the City.

Nothing to be scared of there!
