EXPECTING TROUBLE AT NORTHAMPTON

Wed Aug 15, 2012 12:54 am

What a welcome, they wouldn't even let our stewards into the ground, they had to scrounge tickets to get in, pubs around shut from Cardiff fans and police on high alert.

It was a bit like stepping back in time ten years, really haven't given us any credit for making such strides, our travelling fans at what is a low profile game are exemplary, couldn't meet a nicer bunch. :ayatollah:

Here here pal here f*cking here.

Only way to change attitudes by away teams towards us is to boycott fixtures like Leeds when we know we are going to be treated like we are a bunch of nazis (I know we have a minority lunatic nazi fringe but still). I ain't going back there again though, the ground isn't fit for the likes of Leighton James.

If they talked to our police and actually listened to what they had to say, then they could have saved themselves a fortune, football intelligence, now there's a case for trade description.

I think they beat us on points that night. Outside The Rover before the game they were very good, we redeemed ourselves on the green outside the ground just before kick off but then the 30 or so of us who left the game with 20 minutes to go bit off more than we could chew on the banking. It was like Zulu they kept coming from everywhere. No lads, just local idiots.

They had hundreds on that dual carriageway after the game as well. Crazy night.

Because we were getting tonked 1-5 on aggregate and we wanted revenge for what happened before the game. :old:

And before you start that we were a disgrace to the club I was only a kid then. It was part and parcel of youth culture at the time :old:

You must be so proud? We wonder why the police are so heavy handed for mediocre cup games on a Tues night? Perhaps they read this forum

No problems with drinking in The Sixfields before the game, which I assume is their local. There were about 20 Cardiff in there, some wearing colours, Police came in for a nosey, but that was it.
