Involved in an accident tonight coming home from Inverness..

Tue Aug 14, 2012 9:44 pm

Thankfully no one was hurt though...(well almost)

A guy in Subaru attempted to overtake me (49seater scania irizar) on the A9 just past Bruar (southbound),
And hit a deer that ran on the road.
The deer was killed and my brakes were severely tested as was my steering column.

The guys Scooby was fairly damaged though.

Several witnesses and two police officers both said if it hadn't of been for my awareness and excellent responsive driving it could've been far worse.

I hate this road and I'm not posting this for more praise, but I am posting it to make people aware how fragile life is and how easily it can disappear or be taken away by silly moments of frustration or lapses of concentration...

Take care on the roads folks!!!
