SKY GOING TO LOVE THE PROTEST

Tue Aug 14, 2012 9:57 am

Oh the irony, Sky TV filming the protest and the shirts and signs saying against modern football, wonder if anyone in SKY HQ will be thinking, that's us, modern football, make sure you get all the signs in shot lads. 8-)

Gwyn, unfortunately all SKY are interested in is controversy. It's the Murdoch empire. Throughout the Olympics when the BBC was constantly praising the gold medal winners, SKY Sports News was littered with breaking news updates about doping cheats. They won't care if the protest is against the very culture that SKY has introduced into football, they'll just see the chance to stir trouble and cause controversy.

I know that mate and that's how mad it all is, they SKY are the major contributors or culprits as you choose, in creating this modern football money pit. It's a bit like we created this monster, now let's film the outcome.

"Bluebirds"

To me now, this is a bit like protesting against the Death Penalty from inside the
Gas Chamber watching. Complaining about the rebrand whilst putting money in
Tans pocket.

"Did you see the Blue placards Vinny San?"

"Never mind all that, how many people went through the turnstiles?"

Sorry. I'm pro Blue. Hate the rebrand. But the people are BUYING RED, thats all that
matters at the end of the day.

I shall be wearing blue chanting blue like the rest of us nore will i be buying f**k all from the shop or drink/food area like many thats my stance and the only possible way to make tan realise it was wrong rite now. Once the whistle goes there will be no anti vt or any other we hate red protest while the teams playing i shall be supporting the team which is the main thing throughout the whole game :ayatollah:

Glad to see much sense being posted on the board with regards to protests. Whether blue or red we all support one team and that support is worth a goal at home games. Any protest during the game can only be a distraction for the team. I agree with the above poster who suggests boycotting the shop and food outlets if you want to make a protest, although I doubt they'll be enough support for this to worry VT in his pocket.

The ONLY thing that matters is if people boycott the RED shirts and new badge merchandise.

There is NO argument with Tan if the stuff moves off the shelves. He can quite justifiably
say that the majority of Cardiff City supporters are happy with the rebrand. Endex.

Its a peaceful protest to try and bring back our rightful colours.
Nothing wrong with that at all.
Despite what you say, there are many of us who are not happy with us playing in red.
This will be our chance at last to show it.

The shirts will move off the shelves whilst we are successful. The is the key to the rebrand to make us successful and keep us successful.

I don't like the change from Blue to Red but like you TA I will back it provided VT delivers.

No no mate. I dont back the change at all. I hate it. But recognise the fact that we're stuck with
it. I feel even worse now, because like I say, RED is selling. So we might even be stuck with it.

But my alternative is to stop supporting Cardiff City altogether.

That aint happening :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree , I dont identify with a red home shirt or the badge and will be in blue at every home game until the time we revert back to our historical colours.

I'm a Jack through and through but, would it not be reasonable to all agree that any protests take place before the game and after the game. Devoting the 90 minutes for the support of your team, which at the same time will show a united front and a group of fans who organise themselves.
