So the Big one this Friday night and

Tue Aug 14, 2012 9:04 am

Let's all be as one, wear your Blue shirts with pride or new ones and go to the Huddersfield game with one intention to cheer our team on.
Fed up of the continual snipes and attacks on our fans because of their beliefs, you all know mine and it will never ever change I will always remain Blue, but I will be supporting the players when the whistle blows on Friday night, just because I will never ever buy or wear anything of the red, as far as I concerned that is my right.

So let's support the Mighty Bluebirds on the pitch this Friday night v Huddersfield. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Well said. The players may have to wear red now but atleast we, the fans, are not forced to change our colours.

Re: So the Big one this Friday night and

I know this is strange but I have sometimes worn a foreign club's kit to our home games. I always get one bought for me by my wife at Christmas (two years ago it was Club Brugge, last year it was Club America) and I have this dream that one day a supporter of that club will see their kit at our home games and it will then provoke their fans to adopt us!

More often than not I just wear what I want. Not a big fan of wearing club colours to games but I think it will be quite poetic if we see a mix of red and blue. It will prove that whether you're red or blue, we're united in supporting the lads! :ayatollah:

Exactly, to be honest especially at our away games, our fans have always worn a mix of shirts, some home some away, still Cardiff shirts and that's how it will always be.

It's only a colour and the sense of belonging and love for the club is far more important, ask yourself is the deal for investment along with the sacrifice we have made best thing for the club at this moment and if not is it because it is against your personal dislike, because to me the club is far more important to me than any colour, stadium or badge and to risk losing it is unthinkable. :ayatollah:

Annis if you want everyone to unite why are you keepin on and on about snipes and attacks.

Reds have sniped Blues but Blues have also sniped Reds. Just let it go and enjoy the football. :ayatollah:

Yes we do know how you feel ! But your like a winding record, on and on and on. Give it up and get behind the City, I don`t like RED either but we are still CARDIFF CITY ! :ayatollah:

Agree mate - we are all city fans and its so divisive to keep banging on about what side of the fence you are on. Can't stomach the idea that you have to be for or against the rebrand by the colour of your football shirt. I'll probably go in blue, my youngest son in his new red shirt and my other in his black away shirt - all bluebirds at the end of the day.

Nobody in whatever colour will get abuse from me and I sincerely hope that others will see sense and leave their prejudices at home and not pick on anybody because of what shirt they are wearing- sadly I suspect the reality may be different.

In fairness Annis didn't make any reference to who was sniping who, he said 'I'm sick of our fans being sniped at because of their beliefs'

So for once he should get some credit for being fair.

As for Friday I don't believe for one moment a fan of Cardiff City would be so selfish as to spoil the first home game by protesting against our shirt colour inside the stadium.

Re: So the Big one this Friday night and

Tue Aug 14, 2012 12:51 pm

It is time for the infighting to stop. I've seen controversial posts by both sides , but let's all support City now. We want to see 11 players give 100% every game , so let's get behind them !
Any protests should be outside the 90 minute playing time and should be respectful to others who have a different point of view !

Hear hear. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and beliefs but what should unite us all is what goes on on the pitch. As always, the team comes first for me.

Up the City. :ayatollah:

I never insinuated he wasnt being fair I am just saying if its time to unite then theres no point making reference to the previous snipings, attacks and "threats", with every other post, regardless of which side made them its time to put it in the past.

Time to stop dwelling on whats gone on previously, its been an emotive time, but its time to start looking forward to the football now. :ayatollah:
