I think we will have tomany youngsters involded tonight bar 3-4 1st teamers hopefully, the rest will be young up and comming players so im going for a 3-1 loss which will not bother me that much as i hope we focus on the league bugger the cups as it messed us up last year in the league with a small squad playing loads of extra games and we all knwo what happened after january in the league

I''ll take that all day long. Can't see it happening though. Your players will be better but ours more experienced. Should be interesting

Most will be teens and under 19s, we got the league starting friday and we got 8-9 1st teamers away tonight anyway on international duty, we could put out about 10 1st teamers if are manager wanted to but i doubt he will.

I reckon Malky will surprise us and put out a relatively strong side. I can see us winning but it will be close. 2-1 win maybe? Maybe even 3-2?

Cardiff: Lewis; McNaughton, Hudson, Turner, Taylor; Conway, Ralls, Whittingham, Mutch; Mason, Helguson
This is the predicted line up, far too much for Northampton. As much as I would like to see us bomb out, I think we will win 3.0 Malky doesn't like to lose.

Not sure Whitts will be playing as he drove off yesterday when the coach arrived to take the players to Northampton - may have forgotten his boots though I guess
I think a 1-1 draw in 90 mins with us losing in extra time.

Will be very disappointed if we don't win! We have a large enough squad this season and would like to see a strong (from what we have to choose) team.
It does nothing for morale to lose to teams in lower leagues! Whatever team we put out Malky is still the manager of it!
Plus tickets weren't exactly cheap for league cup round 1!

Just got a feeling hes going to leave the 1st teamers on the bench ready for friday, so i can see a team of kids bar the bench boys for friday in the line up maybe

I don't think we'll go too youthful, Mutch will be given a go to gain match fitness, the team put out should be enough to beat Northampton but I see it being a closely contested tie
