30 odd games for QPR, never scored a goal.

Always thought he was only ever really a star in his old mans head

This is a Cardiff City message board where someone has posted about a player maybe going to one of our rivals and you are still on here posing your normal drivel, have you not got any of your own forums to go on???

There are much better wingers in our division than Shaun Wright-Phillips. We've got one of them in Bellamy. :ayatollah:

Remember when bellamy first come to us and it was revealed that man city were paying most of his wages?? all hell broke out, people on tv and radio saying it was a dissgrace, some wanting the fa to step in and stop it, brighton have done the same deal with wayne bridges, isn,t it funny that nothing is being mentioed when other clubs use the same loop hole as we did????

Well, I suppose on that basis he is leaving one of our rivals? He is one of those players who has the odd good game and everyone gets over excited, consistency is the issue with him, in the championship? Who knows?

As you're here Stan, thoughts on Saturday? I was done with Loftus Road after having to shield my boy from flying bottles across from the Springbok, but, first game of the season and all that.

In my opinion, Chris Eagles, Chung-Yong Lee, Morten Gamst Pedersen, Matt Jarvis, Chris Burke, Martin Petrov, Stephen Hunt, Darren Ambrose, Matt Phillips and Wilfried Zaha to name a few.

Scotsjack, i have no problem with rival fans coming on this forum to discuss football matters, you seem to be one of the sensible ones, the majority of the other gypos who post on here seem to be retards!!!!!

For what its worth, I think you are in a better position than 3 years ago, but the championship looks as hard as it ever has.
Earlier in the thread, someone said its like a mini premier league, I already think its premier league 2 in all but name. The difference being that anyone can win it.

Mate are you serious? Stephen Hunt, Darren Ambrose, Chris Burke, Matt Phillips? All players that pulled up trees last season right? Na didn't think so. Each to their own & all that but I find that a strange one personally.

I watched SWP in every single game he has played for us & I'll be the first to say he was very frustrating to watch, not for lack of effort or quality bur merley for the fact he was so unlucky & in fact was trying to hard which didn't help him.

He won us 3 penalties last season, hit the post about 4 times & scored an absolute beauty from 20 yards out against Aston Villa which was shown to be a wrongly called offside from the lino. He is a very tricky player who still possess bags of pace & trickery & in 5 pre season games he has scored 3 with 2 assists. I have always had faith in him & am certain with his increased confidence will be a big asset to us this season.

ScotsJack- yes mate been a bit lively by the Springbok the last couple of times we've played you boys.

As for the game I am fully confident we can get a result if I'm honest. Firstly we have a very good record against Swansea, last season 3-0 & season before 4-0 with us drawing both games at your place. We are at home which is an obvious advantage & I feel with a new manager in place & the loss of arguably your best player in Allen you are weaker than you were on your previous visit.

Of course this is just my opinion & the confidence from our camp could actually prove to be a disadvantage should we not score for a while. An early goal from us will be vital to getting the 3 points as your game plan will have to change & away from home that as you know is not ideal. I think Laudrup will come for a draw but with us having players like Hoilett, SWP, Taarabt, Park Ji Sung & Cisse all pushing forward I can see us definitely scoring, meaning you must to.

Should be an interesting one.

We have come to learn to our cost that this league is seriously hard to get out of, now if we are ten points clear come the end of march then maybe we,ll do it :!:  until then i will just see where the season takes us.

Aye, not exactly a happy hunting ground for us up there, added to which, I think the new players here are just settling in and we haven't won our opening fixture in years so I'm not too optimistic for Saturday. On the other hand, its when I feel that way that the Swans usually surprise me. Looking forward to the season getting started though, all the best.
