When does the olypics start

I have had one of the best two weeks of tv for about 4 years ,uk gold has put on a real treat re runs off all the only fools specials one foot in the grave dads army and to boot a great film at 21.00 every nite.i have just noticed all this comes to a end next week.I want to know can anyone tell me when the olympic start .
