He said in an interview he wouldnt drop down to the championship and if he doesnt sign for a prem team he will look to retire?!

He needs to get back to his sharpness so a season in this division would be good for him ready for a year in the prem then if the team he went to got promoted!

I think he still needs that sharpness back a bit being out injured for a while, would easily do a job at this level he is only 32!

It would be the same mistake as signing Fowler.

Fowler was effective still at Liverpool because he was not 1st choice.

We signed him and made him 1st choice and his body simply couldn't handle it.

Both Owen and Fowler started playing at the highest level at 18, both have had long careers.

In some sense both Owen and Fowler are older than they are - In terms of miles on the clock. Owen is shot due to the fact he was 1st choice at Liverpool and England when he was just 18.

There was a time when things like this were said about Bellamy but watching him play for team GB I thought he looked in better nick than ever.I'm pretty sure that if Owen's as crocked as you say he wouldn't get passed Malky's medical men.That providing theres any truth at all in these rumours.

Well,if your right then Malky must have done his homework.So far you can't fault the type of player Malky's brought to this club.A fit Owen would strike fear into every championship defence.With the type of salary he could command I just can't see Malky taking a chance unless he was 100% sure.
