City v Newcastle.

Now I know this match was only a friendly, but some aspects of City's play yesterday was outstanding. We must now have the best midfield in the Championship by a mile, with Gunnarson,Whittingham, Kiss, Cowie and the outstanding Mutch. Etien Velikonja looks a class act up front with his pace and physicality, and is clearly perfectly comfortable playing the lone striker role which MM obviously favours. Hudson and Turner were excellent in defence with Turner looking much fitter than he did last season. Quite clearly he's lost a fair bit of weight in pre-season.
The only negative point as far as I'm concerned is the defensive frailities of our full backs. Both caught out on a number occasions yesterday.
However with Bellamy and Kim Bo Kyoung to come into the side, City are going to be a real force in the Championship this season. Happy days!

I wasn't there yesterday but all the reports that I have read have been very warming and exciting.

Hopefully Malky can get his last transfer targets in and hopefully there are a couple of versatile defending options.

Say it most seasons now but I definitely feel confident this year.
