I totally agree!

If I'm being honest I never held the lad in particularly high regard. In my ignorance I thought he was a cocky, arrogant, "rich kid". Then I accidently saw the recent documentary focusing on the last year or so of his father's life and it made me realise that Tom Daley is a talented and extremely brave young man who has worked extremely hard to get where he is, and has faced challenges and adversity that most of us haven't had to confront, let alone at such a young age.

I was delighted for the lad when he got the bronze medal tonight.

Well done to the kid.

Yes, I totally agree, and he's only 18! He's got another two Olympics in him!

Given his work ethic and determination I wouldn't bet against an Olympic Gold in his future. Regardless of gold medals the lad works his socks off to be the best he can and has done from a young age and as you say, he's a very likeable lad.

I'd urge everyone to watch that documentary. It's a real eye opener!
