As pre season friendlies go. - Rebrand

That was some display. Minus Cisse and Demba Ba Newcastle were at full strength but they couldnt deal with our class today. Jordan Mutch looked sublime and Craig Conway might as well be regarded as an exciting new signing. Lean, hungry and MOTM. With millions of pounds worth of talent missing - CB, Kimbo and Joe Mason and when Malky can have the luxury of bringing Don Cowie off the bench then you know things have definitely been worse. Everything felt right and whoever decided to allow a little common ground with the rebranding eg red&blue murals and red&blue in the club shop side by side(I've never seen the shop so busy)then it might just be a marketing stroke of genius and not just the whim of a megolamaniac. It wasn't as weird there today as I'd anticipated. A lot of this Rebrand will be aimed at the next generation of City fans and someone mentioned today the orders for childrens kits have been unprecedented BOTH COLOURS. The two giant murals of Gunnarson in the blue kit and Mason in the red kit is particularly striking. How many clubs in the country can boast such popularity for two separate coloured shirts?! It'll be interesting to see the eventual figures for both. It might even be a case of in a year or two the owners change it again to a more palatable version of the historical blue with another badge. Why not? Cardiff City have gained WORLDWIDE publicity this summer since the news broke. Those who criticise the Malaysians relentlessly might have a little food for thought soon enough

Unfortunately our so called publicity was at the expense of us becoming the laughing stock of football. :ayatollah:

Will we get Michael Owen do you think? the striker you were talking about ???

I must admit,i am not sure bout him, he hs the Owen hargraves or Robbie Fowler feeling about him.....???

I would much rather a jordon Rhodes type signing...

@Bluebina

I think Michael Owen falls into the same ridiculous SkyBet category as Alan Shearer and Shay Given. Compared to other betting companies, SkyBet seems pretty Mickey Mouse and the point odds change like the weather due to a rumour. Of course he could still do a job in the championship but I'd be surprised if Malky doesn't go for the younger model when he moves for a main striker
