The Team in red played well

Just got back from the match and was very impressed with the performance

Newcastle played w/o Ba & Cisse but hadan experienced team out.

Cardiff did not give them a chance to take control, Much had a very good game as did Whitts and w/o exception everone looked pacy and fit.

Joe Lewis came on toward the end and made 2 very good saves.

Helgeson went off with head injury, cut I think but city held their shape and dominated most of the possession.

Their penalty was controversial and they had perhaps 2/3 shots on target.

Two fantastic saves at the end by Lewis, was impressed

I was really chuffed to see a Cardiff city centre forward winning a few headers before his injury!

Also it should be noted that in the first half the toon played their first team keeper and back 4 and went in at the break 3-0 down! Fair play bluebirds!
