Why are some clubs playing their Legue Cup tie's today?

Did we decide to play ours mid-week or was this impossed by the Football League or whoever regulates the fixtures? If we chose to play on Tuesday then we are thick as shit. Not only will we loose a lot of our squad through International call-ups but we've also only got 48 hours to prepare for Huddersfield.

If that's the case then that's pretty poor from the club. Let's face it today's game is pointless, I would rather they focused on getting the Northampton game out of the way first, then they can concentrate on the Championship.
