Carlos Bocanegra anybody?...

Watching the Rangers match today made me think that we could offer Carlos a way out of the Scottish 3rd division. He can play at both CB and LB and has often captained the teams he has played on. Not the youngest, but we need more defenders...

Maybe but only on like a 1 year contract, isn't he like 33? Decent back up like you said able to play LB/CB we need players like that for either side.

I would prefer Dorin Goian, he's younger and arguably better. I'm a bit confussed with Bocanegra and Goian's contract situation now, presumably because they've played now in the Third Division that mean's they have accepted to transfer to Newco Rangers. If that's the case then doesn't that mean neither of them are available for free?

Think you're right. Thought I heard that if they played they were bound to the Newco. Either would do for me. For selfish reasons (being American) I would like Bocanegra to be playing at a higher level. It can't be good when your national team captain is playing part timers in the Scottish 3rd division week in and week out.

Bacanegra is a very good defender, I've always liked him since I first saw him play for Fulham. I'm suprised somebody in the MLS hasn't been able to tempt him home yet.
