After playing in Cardiff last night, do you think he will be on the pitch today maybe at half time? :ayatollah:

No mate - he has to leave the country to get his work permit sorted.

Hasn't he got to leave the country to get a work permit?

No, I don't.

They don't have to go back straight away, the Visas they use last til November. If he's on the pitch today I expect he'll fly back later on in the day.

His current UK work permit for the Olympics expires in november, so he could even wait til end of september to fly out and get it.

He needs to be in Korea whilst the work permit application goes in, apparently, so I expect him to go back there as soon as possible - perhaps after he receives his bronze medal after the Final at Wembley... (the main reason he won't be here today)

Doesn't he have a bronze medal waiting for him at wembley tomorrow?

I thought they would present the medals last night actually at the game?

It's a little more complicated than that. He can't go up to the Government and say:

"Can I have my work permit to work in Great Britain please?"
"Yes, of course, here you are."

All sorts of things will have to be analysed. I doubt he'll have it sorted for next Friday, I would hope that he's either back in Korea by now or on his way back to Korea.

I mean he already has a work permit that was activated if you like for the Olympics which expires in november.

i dont get it... the question wasnt "do you think he will play today" it was "do you think he will be there" :?

He could play technically, but it would have to be unpaid and without player insurance, otherwise it would violate his present visa conditions. Work permit comes in effect when hes back in South Korea upon the acceptance of home office, otherwise he would play foul to the conditions set and home office could reject his work permit application.
