One door shuts as another opens

Most know on here that my son does karate but Sadly Regan looks close to quitting The art. He is disalusioned as to how he was being treated and where he was heading.
My wife and myself understand where he is coming from and know he isn't throwing his toys out of his pram as he has been 100% dedicated for the four years he has been doing it, taking him to Black belt and into the Welsh squad.
But now he is looking to get into MMA and seeing what he thinks of that. If he puts half the dedication into that then he will do well. Hope he keeps his hand in at Karate Though as he is to good just to leave and everyone knows how proud I am of him on here.

Nukes ,where are you from? I do Krav Maga ,which is covers everything from knife attack ,sticks and gun threat. ! We practise real life situations but if I was regan's age I would crack on with MMA

Not being treated right at his club mate. It's all Politics and with his Sensei being the main Welsh coach if he leaves the club to join another his welsh squad will end as quick as it started.
He told me the other day " dad I am no longer learning or improving as he is ignoring me" and this has gone on for some time. I would accept it if he had a bad attitude or was crap but he isn't. Those that know him as SBf1 said he is a good lad.
But he seems excited to be starting MMA Chief

That looks good fair play. there is MMA at planet fitness Aberbargoed which looks the dogs bollox. Kitted out fantastic.Nathan Cleverly recently done a training session there

Sorry to hear Regan is leaving Karate, but I wish him well if he takes up MMA, as SB! says he's a good kid and i've always had great laughs with him on the Forum away trips. All the best for the future Regan
