My take on tonight

Sat Aug 11, 2012 1:11 am

Slight drunken haze!!

However the club did us Cardiff fans proud tonight.

Firstly, free entertainment!!! That's a first.

Secondly, what amazing stewards!! Very friendly and accommodating

I can't be saying thirdly as I don't think there is such a word!!! However the music was spot on and the players/ malkay really came accros well!!...... Loved the fact that malky asked us to do the atattollah, rather than us singing it to everyone who moved on the stage

Top night, good few beers

And very very proud and excited at what's going on at my club for the coming season!!

Felt like a promotion party if I'm honest :ayatollah:

Agree 100% it was a great atmosphere down there last night and felt like the fans really want some unity back. It was great to see so many happy faces

Free Barrie !!! FOOKING FREE !!! Barrie that just got added on to our debt :o 90 million in debt and they throw a red party which many jump on the bandwagon celebrating.
One day when there are massive chains locking the stadium you will remember your big free party destroying our heratage  and our club .

I felt it was a money grabbing night if you had kids... The bright flashing lights of all the rides enticing the kids that are cheaper in porthcawl!
Cost me £12 for my kids to have 1 go on one ride, then they wanted a go on something else another £12.
Couldn't hear the player interviews unless you were stood very close. Heard the fireworks when we arrived home, really is their any sense in doing "the free" entertainment that the kids are interested in at10:10pm?
If you didn't put your hand deep in your pocket, then their was nothing for the kids.

Probably a good night if you were single or a couple, but a family night, nah, a rip-off!

I enjoyed the evening but felt that there were some issues. Firstly it wasn't totally free as if you parked at the stadium it cost £5.00. Not bad I guess considering the Olympic Park and Ride was £10.00 for a space 20 yards away, but I pay £130.00 for a car park pass, but this was deemed pre season so it was excluded. However, today's match is part of the deal, so how does that work??

As someone said above - couldn't hear the interviews with Hudson and Lewis, though it was sorted for Bellers. I also felt the ska band went on too long and they could have brought forward the running order by half an hopur to stop the kids getting so tired and bored. Hog roast consisted of a glorified burger van, which was poor.

On the plus side, it was an amazing firework display, 4th Street Traffic were excellent, beer was ice cold and reasonably priced and everyone seemed happy to be there. It genuinely did feel as though it was a new start for the club and judging by the number of red shirts sold, they may have got this right... Now lets see what happens on the pitch.

LOL what a load of rubish! If you have 4 kids yes it's going to cost £12 a go, We had a family night out, few drinks, met some old friends and players, Had a hog roast. If you really wanted you could have gone there and not spent a penny. Great night if you ask me..... AND IT WAS FREE!

Please tell me you are joking? If not I have lost the little bit of respect I had left from a former good poster.

 I did! Just making comment that the rides were expensive.ll they were more expensive than porthcawl, considering its supposed to be a celebration of the new stadium, I personally felt ripped off..l my opinion you don't have to agree... Get over yourself ok

is that CCFC's fault, im pretty sure they have no control over how much rides charge.

No it's it a load of ubbish, and yes I do have 4 kids, hence the user name... Other people I heard also telling their kids no they couldn't have a go on the all or some of the rides as they were too expensive.. My kids only had 2 go's each cost £24.. If you got two kids, still cost you £12 quid for 2 go's .... How many kids you got is ir-relevant.. I felt if you were a family it was expensive.. As stated in original post..

The fair ground and catering stands would have been charged more than enough to cover any costs last night, plus the taking from the club shop last night would have been up there with the Brinks Mat bullion. :ayatollah:
