When is the SH debt going to be settled..?

Fri Aug 10, 2012 11:03 pm

Personally I don't care if we get promotion or not I just want this issue finally got rid of. Is that too hard a question to answer for some..?

He is the only one that has the financial power to pay it though despite it happening way in advance of his arrival.

I feel Sam has been a little to stubborn in this and should have took the reduced offer.
I think it will go down to 2016.

I didn't say he was anything.
He is the majority shareholder...... Obviously an investor hence the 40m currently invested

He his not the owner until he increases his shares in the club to a level where it triggers a buy out of the club, (i think it,s about 47% but not sure) in the meantime he his the main invester in the club, if you want to put it that way.

The investment comes at a price, he puts in £100 million but things will be done his way, (re-branding) no investment and he may or may not walk away, if he walked away then it,s at least administration, maybe liquidation.

No I said that above tho :?

If Langston thought they could get money thought the courts they would have?
I think Sam missed a trick not accepting the 10m and it will now go down to 2016 or until a point where the club (not tan) can afford to pay him.

Adam , you can say no if you want, I'm sure that will stop the rebrand dead in the water, why didn't you think of this sooner.

You really aren't up to speed are you, the investment was tied to the rebrand, now you must be the only person who doesn't know that. No rebrand, no investment, so how can we say yes to the investment and no to the rebrand.
You call yourself a business man and you can't even understand something that simple.

The Sam Hammam debt will be settled when Sam swallows his pride
and accepts the 10mil.

VINCENT TAN does not owe Sam Hammam one penny. Not one.

CARDIFF CITY allegedly owe him millions and millions.

If Tan buys the majority shareholding, the Club becomes 'his'.....

And he would inherit the Sam Hammam debt.

So Tan will not budge, he will not buy any more shares until Hammam has
finally done one. There is no real rush. the D to E will take months anyway.

When Sam realises this, and accepts whats on the table. THATS when the SH
debt will be settled

Re: When is the SH debt going to be settled..?

Sat Aug 11, 2012 7:42 am

Well dave unless he sorts sam soon then there will not just be a few hundred kcb i know that for sure, because it wasnt about a few million in players for most fans including me for a red shirt or a dancing chinese dragon at last nights event it was more about getting that word debt free which as promised and still needs to be delivered, so all your constant sam needs to swallow his pride crap or he can wait for vt when hes ready makes no diffrence when clearly ITS ONE MAN WHO SAID HE WILL PAY HIM TO GET OWNERSHIP OF OUR CLUB :ayatollah:

Swallow his pride CRAP?

the feller has already said he'd accept the TEN that was offered. If he'd done that then
he would be history now. But he cant let go. He's like Oliver Twist asking for more!..Greed or pride?

My point is. The D to E will take months anyway. Sam is not the only factor in all this, he
just happens to be the high-profile one that is putting himself in the Echo every few days.
Tan never said Langstone was the only thing to be cleared up first. Its the Sam camp that
are making it such a big issue. Sam WILL get paid, but I doubt he'll get away with slipping
a little sweetener in for himself this time, like he did with his last 'goodbye'

The Club are in no rush. As much as I CANT wait to see that 90mil loan disappear off the
balance sheets. No way should we be held to ransom.

Re: When is the SH debt going to be settled..?

My feeling is that it will go to 2016 then spend years going through the court system and Sam may end up with feck all but a big legal bill. If I was him I would take whats on the table but as has been said before he's like a dog with a bone he just can't let go. :ayatollah:

Ten was never offered though dave it was said 8 in full or 7 in full the other 3 over several seasons this was said by whiteley in the season tickets refund meeting. We even got people saying on here saying let him wait till 2016 i mean how silly does that sound can you image the 250-300million we would owe VT in loans then plus sam would want the full 38mill or whatever it is by then, some people on this board are crackers.

The alternative view that Tan has no intention of changing debt to equity is a non-starter.
It would be madness to be 'owed' 100mil in loans by Cardiff City. He could never ever hope
to get it back if he left. Who would give it to him? Thats why full ownership and full control
is his only option. I'd like Sam paid off tomorrow. But it takes a month or two more, and we
save 5mil. that'll do me :ayatollah:

You might not be saying f**k him come 12months time if we are in the prem and he comes back for 30+million in court, some bitter cunts about i bet you wasnt even here when we was going up the leagues mark on this money or did fans think we jumped the leagues on pennys which was never to be payed back in some shape

We don't mind borrowing money and paying it back, but this Sam Hamman money was murky, dirty, hidden, not up front, bit like the banking crisis that the UK finds it's self in now.....supporters like transparency so that we can see what we get for our money.....Sam and his family have done alright out of Cardiff City as far as I can remember.....I don't know what all the fuss is about to be honest, we become debt free and then we'll run up more debt...bit like my credit card

To be honest I think he would have done that by now if he thought he could get his money that way.I personally don't think thats an option for him even if we get to the prem.

if he felt he could win in court, dont u think he would have by now?

This "deadline" passed, Tan didnt budge so what did Sam do? nothing........too risky going to court for him
