The demand could well be true, but the club are hardly going to put out a statement along the lines of;

"Sales of the new red home shirt are expected to be abysmal."

Realisitically the club have to say that there has been the demand in order for people to rush out and buy one. The signing and timing of the Bellamy deal is geared about generating shirt sales.

I believe that the superstore will be a lot quieter this season in comparison to other seasons because of the re brand. I think Many fans cannot accept the changes and will boycott the red shirt and superstore. Time will tell.

Comments like this are starting to wear thin. I have supported the club since 89 was at every home game between 92 and 2004 when I left the city. I don't want the club to change to red but accept it and am think the fact we are looking to develop new revenue streams for the club is a good thing.

How the f**k does that make me a plastic

Buy the red shirt?

Id rather roast my bollocks on an open fire whilst poking cocktail sticks in my eyes having first peeled my feet and bathed them in vinegar

Look in the windows to the side of Mason and Gunnarson - Ricoh clear as day in both windows
It was 3 men and a baby the ghost was in.

I'm not saying people like you are plastics. When I say all the plastics, I mean all the kids who are now suddenly jumping on the bandwagon because we have signed Bellamy. These kids have now asked their dads to take them tonight so they can get a Bellamy top. As soon as Bellamy leaves they will then go back to supporting the Man Utd's on tv. I think the majority of people buying red shirts will be kids and the only way we will be able to sell a decent number of red shirts is because of Bellamy. The Malaysians have been spot on with the timing of this.

Personally I haven't gone tonight as I feel tonight is all about celebrating the end of over 100 years of our tradition, local pride, heritage and identity. While Cardiff City FC will go on, it really does feel like I've lost a close friend or brother. Tonight is all about the start of a new era of a Malaysian franchise from a ruthless dictator who has given us no justifiable reason for turning us to red whatsoever, apart from that it's "his vision". VT has also failed to pay off Langston and convert our debt into equity. How many more times are we going to be lied to before people wake up and realise we are being duped? Great that Bellamy has joined today, but every signing has probably been made from loans with a 7% interest and not VT's pocket, and if things go wrong these extra loans will be unable to be paid off and can spell the end for us.
